For food-contact materials, an extractables or migration result only has meaning alongside the chosen food simulant, concentration, contact time, temperature, material structure and intended market. A report should be read as evidence for its stated conditions.
Where relevant, project evaluation may consider simulants such as acetic acid, ethanol and isooctane. The applicable method and conditions must be confirmed by the responsible laboratory and the final project requirements.
Performance is a test, not a slogan.
The coating system is evaluated as part of the full paper or molded-fiber structure. It should be assessed against the intended application before commercial use, with the final documentation confirmed project by project.
This approach is slower than a blanket promise—but much more useful for buyers making destination-market decisions.
